Heartbeat
Hello, I'm trying to use the BOUNCE feature to send a rough mix MP3 to a friend, but when I invoke the bounce command, the volume/pan faders are frozen and the program won't allow me to move them. Is this normal? Do I have any options? Thank you,
ElmerJFudd
Bounce is typically an offline feature. Meaning your mix is finished and you are exporting a file. If you have EQ Settings to make, do so before bouncing. If you need to mix and pan set before hand. If they need to move in time - use automation. Heartbeat
Thanks Elmer. Seem unusual to have to learn to use Automation in Logic Pro just to move a fader 10db once in a mix, but that's life in 2020. Otherwise, I'm enjoying Logic very much. I'm old school or just old I guess.
SamuelBLupowitz
Yeah, pretty standard DAW behavior. You can set the automation to "write" whenever you move a fader or pot, so that you create the automation curves in real time. You just have to remember that it's on before you make broader tweaks!
