Groove On
Nice. I"m a fan of Japanese Metal. There"s something that rocks about the sound+aesthetic. And they"re gung-ho to include that manga / shogun movie look. I"ll post a couple of more vids cuz I love the insanity. Baby Metal sings about Chocolate-OH [video:youtube] Waggaki Band, less of a show and more musicianship, love to see them shred on the traditional instruments. Worth it to look up their concerts where they bring in the big @$$ taiko drums. [video:youtube]
Dannyalcatraz
Nice. I"m a fan of Japanese Metal. There"s something that rocks about the sound+aesthetic. And they"re gung-ho to include that manga / shogun movie look. I"ll post a couple of more vids cuz I love the insanity. Me too! Loudness, EZO, Super Junky Monkey, Boris, Dir En Grey, Asterism, Hotei...not to mention all the utterly killer players who"ve joined western bands. Waggaki Band, less of a show and more musicianship, love to see them shred on the traditional instruments. Worth it to look up their concerts where they bring in the big @$$ taiko drums. [video:youtube] Kind of like a Japanese version of all those Northern European bands that are fusing their traditional music and instrumentation with metal to good effect. Nice stuff! KuruPrionz
Incredible, thanks for sharing! The guitar forum has been inspring tonight and I am thankful. Quote It took a chunk of my life to get here and I am still not sure where "here" is.
Larryz
Groove On, Even though all of the bands are very talented and put on great shows, I'm just not into the genre. I will have to say I really enjoyed the Waggaki band with the mix of traditional Japanese instruments. Very cool! Quote Take care, Larryz
skipclone 1
So tragic about Babymetal's guitarist. he died in a fall while stargazing. One of my main guitars was made famous by Loudness. It's not the reason I bought it but, that band was ahead of their time and is still underappreciated.
