Al Coda
The Big Six looks awesome! I agree ! It seems, they put in their SSL USB-C audio. When I investigated a bit more into their USB-C interfaces,- I recognized there´s MIDI I/O,- at least for the SSL 2+. Now, it would be ice on the cake when SSL "Big Six" had MIDI too, makin´ it a fully fledged interface inside an analog recording/summing mixer. A.C. Stephen Fortner
I am chomping at the bit to check one of these out. My understanding is that the EXT1 and EXT2 inputs are not routed to the USB bus, so the effective channel count you can get into your DAW is 12. Still, four keyboards in stereo plus four mic pre inputs is plenty for a lot of home studio dwellers. And the price is right when you consider the cost of a premium audio interface like an Apollo, Antelope, Black Lion, etc. Quote Stephen Fortner Principal, Fortner Media Former Editor in Chief, Keyboard Magazine Digital Piano Consultant, Piano Buyer Magazine Industry affiliations: Antares, Arturia, Giles Communications, MS Media, Polyverse
