Larryz
Did a little research, and found this on Gilourish.com. "While EMG recommends placing the pickups close to the strings, David preferred them as low as possible to emulate the output and tone of his passive single coils." OK, I got around to measuring my pickups for string height on my 3 EMG powered Strats (i.e. distances from the top of the pickups to the bottom of the strings)...the 3 singles are the DG20 Gilmour setup. On all 3 single coils 5/32" Bridge Middle and Neck on the 6th string On all 3 single coils 6/32" Bridge Middle and Neck on the 1st string Fat Strat with 2 singles and humbucker 5/32" Bridge Middle and Neck on the 6th string Fat Strat with 2 singles and humbucker 6/32" Bridge Middle and Neck on the 1st string Double Fat Strat 2 humbuckers 7/32" Neck and 4/32" Bridge on the 6th string Double Fat Strat 2 humbuckers 7/32" Neck and 4/32" Bridge on the 1st string Hope this is helpful...
