Bartholomew
My old Les Paul doesn't start to drop top-end until it's down about 85% on the tone controls - which are from 74, work well, don't want to change them. Have a new LP model also with linear tone controls and is a huge improvement in rolling off slowly and evenly. If I replace the tone caps (.22) with .33 will it change the sweep on the 74 ? Don't care about losing some highs - never use it with the tone controls wide open anyways. Would like a more even drop-off rather than all at once around 2/10. Is this a situation where everything interacts with everything else in the wiring system and is like shooting craps ?
