ap297
When the jazz organ voice is selected, pressing the function and record buttons simultaneously causes the rotary effect to speed up. Does that combination of buttons send out a midi control message out the midi out jack so that a connected rack mount synthesizer can interperet! I have an old korg x5dr whose rotary effect speeds up by moving a modulation wheel on a keyboard controller. Can the kawai buttons serve as a "modulation source"
Kawai James
ap297, no I'm afraid not. (nothing about this in the owner's manual, and the ES110 programmer confirmed that it does not transmit any MIDI CC when the rotary effect is toggled between slow/fast.) ap297
Oh.too bad. Would a firmware uplate perhaps include this feature? I have often thought kawai should come out with a keyboard somewhere between the es-110 and MP7
Kawai James
Hello ap297, Would a firmware uplate perhaps include this feature? It might be technically possible, however I don't believe this kind of functionality is part of the ES110's spec. I have often thought kawai should come out with a keyboard somewhere between the es-110 and MP7 Yes, that could be interesting. Thank you for the suggestion.
