Synthoid
I'm trying to remember the name of a desktop synth module from about 7-8 years ago. Made in Europe and there were two models I think. Very fat VA synth engine with on-board sequencer, and apparently quite difficult to program. I remember listening to various demos online and was going to buy one but it was quite pricey (Not Waldorf). Not much to go on, but I hope someone can recall this one. Synthoid
More details: wooden end cheeks, black or dark grey metal chassis. When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray.

Piktor
Fat, expensive, wooden end cheeks, black/grey....Just a guess: Access Virus ti desktop, though it has an arpeggiator rather than a sequencer.
Synthoid
Not Access, Arturia or Nord. Remembering a bit more--there was the original and a Model 2. Probably more than 8 years ago. Sven Golly
Any other details about the interface? Lots of knobs, or was it a menu-diving system that made it difficult to program?

Synthoid
There was another obscure desktop synth I was thinking of. Not enough details to share though. Must be another one of those "senior moments". When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray.
Bobby Simons
. . . or was it a menu-diving system that made it difficult to program? You mean like this one? http://www.deepsonic.ch/deep/pix_equipment/yamaha_tx7_01.jpg Mine is on a shelf in the closet behind me - I think I put it there 20 years ago.
