Hardware VST plugin player?

Sometime ago (1-2 years?) I think I read some news about a new hardware plugin player being developed, somewhat in the lines of SM Proaudio V-Machine or MuseBox.

Can anyone here confirm if my memory serves me right and if so;

what was/is it?

Also from Muse was the Receptor.

The problem with Muse is they needed cooperation from plugin developers to support their scheme. In general, you're better off building or getting a custom PC in the footprint you need and running Windows with a host like Cantabile.

Totally agree although I wish this would have been developed more.

Linux with reduced instructions is mean and lean and didnt require Intels latest and greatest.

I just built a new 1U PC and finally graduated to Windows 10.

Ill be testing it for a month while using my current 1U PC, then it will become a spare.

Its very powerful and costs less than a Receptor.

I can share the parts if you wish to try one live.

Ive been using PCs live for 19 years now, only once having a crash, which was more like stuck notes I couldnt clear, very rare.

I run 16 Channels Of Kontakt, PLAY, PianoTeq, Keyscape, Zebra2 HZ, Omnisphere, then Hardware FPGA Modules, DSP Rack and Discrete Audio Analog Synths.
