Unless I really needed a whammified electric for specific gig-needs (and lately, currently, I have no gig-needs whatsoever). Eric Iverson Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 I've never owned a 12 string, and I'd like to have one. I always loved that Byrds jangle from Roger McGuinn. His instructional video is worth getting, especially for a beginning 12 string player. BTW, for those who haven't heard them, Chris Proctor is great on acoustic 12, as is James Blackshaw - two radically different styles.
