12 String VS Whammy

Short answer: a real-live twelve-string electric, and if possible, one that includes a piezo-saddle bridge for convincing enough "acoustic-electric" sounds as well.

Unless I really needed a whammified electric for specific gig-needs (and lately, currently, I have no gig-needs whatsoever).

Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do?

I've never owned a 12 string, and I'd like to have one. I always loved that Byrds jangle from Roger McGuinn. His instructional video is worth getting, especially for a beginning 12 string player.

BTW, for those who haven't heard them, Chris Proctor is great on acoustic 12, as is James Blackshaw - two radically different styles. You can hear them on YouTube, just like almost anything else, LOL.
