When you're ready to go crazy, you can really dig into how DAWs, EQ, compression, etc. etc. work by taking this course. It's free, but you can pay a reasonable fee to get a little more from it. A few of us have taken it and think it's great. Coursera offers it regularly so if you miss this one, you can take it next time around.

Is this the same as the Introduction to Music Production course by Berklee? If so then a huge thumbs up :2thu: from me, as that course was top notch. And learning in an online group is a nice way to study. It is quite motivating to have to keep up with everybody else and get involved with the discussions etc.

I believe so. When I went to the link I had for the course we took together, I couldn't find it. I poked around and came up with this and a cursory look tells me it's the same or close to it.
