True, but its also a wild bit of Gershon Kingsley's early mastery of a modular Moog. Its a seriously *modular* sound not had casually with ROMplers. I'd bet $5 that Gershon is tweaking a filter lined up to modulate a range of near-formants and an engineer is tweaking another modulator as they go. Its so vocal, its eerie and its way before the era of super-vocoders or software that behaves like a rack of Lexicons. If I was teaching modular synthesis, I'd make a test of reproducing that sound as close as possible. Its just... mad, dude.
