i dropped some Christmas cash on a new toy, the Zoom g3!

my first experience was shocking as the master volume on the unit was maxed and thru headphones would take yer head off. fixed that with a quick reduction in the global settings. at first i was slightly disappointed at the tones but soon discovered that most are cranked in the gain.

today i ran it thru the power amp of my amp. holy crap! nice amp models. i have never had much luck with Boss modelling or some line 6 but this rocks balls out! it has some processing power to give sweet tones. and rolling back the volume on the guitar cleans up the tones, very cool.

i wanted this mainly for easy transport to jams with my buddy and the 40 sec looper and drum machine are great for noodling or writing.

and it is super easy to use and all parameters are done with real knobs!

i am no Multifx guy as i tend to use my amp and a hair of delay,so i opted out and grabbed the non expression pedal model.

i can always add a pedal later if i am hot for pitch effects.

i am impressed how easy it is to use and adjust, up to 6 effects in a row unless you opt for a processor hungry amp sim.

can't wait to try it in the PA when i jam next time.

i will be tracking some stuff to see how the direct tones work.

I like them multi effects except for the loud blasts on some settings...you just have to find that global command or go through and set the volume levels for each patch. Have fun with it!

yeah , i dropped the volume in the global settings. now it sounds great. must have had a 3hr jam with myself last night.
