Scott Fraser
That guitar should be free to anybody risking the humiliation of being seen carting it between the Guitar Center & the trunk of your car. Then with a $300 sanding & new paint job you might have a very decent guitar. If you can put the memory of that image out of your mind. 02R96
Yup, nothing that some 80 grit paper and an orbital sander can't take care of in a minute or two... Dan "I hate what I've become, trying to escape who I am..."
RLHofer
I bought a chambered/lightened Les Paul because I could afford it($849)... 60's Tribute model. I'd never owned a Gibson before, much less a Les Paul. So, being unfamiliar with the sustain attainable with a 100% solid body(other than needed for wiring, etc), I am ignorant of what I'm missing. Ignorance CAN be bliss. It's all relative; I now play a Gibson Les Paul. Now, the whole idea of aging a brand new guitar... heresy. Aging should ONLY come with age, like the lines in our faces. You want the look? Do the time.
