EddiePlaysBass
Not sure if it is true and I never heard of Volfpeck, but it is an interesting idea: One band worked out how to cheat Spotify out of money "I'm a work in progress." Groove Mama
Very clever. I know one of the guitarists in the band Saosin, and he told me that every month he receives a royalty check fom Spotify...for like 12 cents. jcadmus
Excellent. Now Spotify will ratchet down its controls and real artists will make even less. Nice work, Volpeck -- table-scrap-pilfering grabasses. "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
wraub
vulfpeck is a primarily instrumental group from Michigan (iirc), playing mostly funky, groovy tunes and featuring an impressive bass player named Joe Dart. They have many tunes on youtube, and I like them quite a bit. Why, here's some now... Sounds like they figured out how to beat the spotify system at its own game, while being transparent about it. If you don't like it, don't buy the "album". I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.
