Gary75
I maybe doing some Chic type stuff soon and at the moment I have no workstation keys. I do have a receptor but its wired up to my GT2 and I don't want to touch it. Are there any options for decent strings on ipad? I have never used it for playing but if I can alongside my NSEX I'll be very happy. I have a CCK so I presume that will work fine in conjunction with a USB controller. Actually, sorry. I'll probably be best off reading a recent thread about using an ipad as a sound module
Gary75
It seems my best option is to use bs16i app with soundfonts. I only want strings so that's probably my best option.
uncledunc
There's a free version of Sample Tank available for iPad. It should work with usb midi via the CCK. If it has strings, there would probably be an expansion pack you could buy to give you more choices. Look into getting the 30-pin extender cable which takes the CCK off the iPad and puts it on the end of the cable instead. Just make sure your extender cable is video-compatible. Some of the cheaper ones don't work with usb midi.
