Picked up a new bench....

I'm ending up getting another Jansen Artist bench. It's been sitting in this dealer's show room a few months in new condition but he sold to me as a demo. A customer bailed on a piano that was ordered (with the Jansen).

 

Even though it was much more then I wanted to pay, the price was too attractive to pass up. Actually I'm going to use it on the D and switch out the 11 year old "Steinway" Jansen on the keyboard. These benches are just perfect for me , although very pricey.

 

I'll probably just buy another Quick-Lok BX718 for gigs. Similar to Aidan's, even though the main padding is holding up remarkably well for who knows how many gigs over ten years old - the wear on the corners was making it look pretty worn and shabby, the wood is starting to show.

 

The drum thrones have never felt comfortable or natural to me for playing the piano. I have a Roc-n-soc that's been in the attic for 15 years.
