Roland D-50 Tones

So, I'm looking in the D-50 manual, and I don't see where it tells me how to change the upper and/or lower tones in a path. I don't mean editing the tones, I mean simply replacing one tone with another. Anyone familiar with this? It seems like it would be pretty simple.

I have the D550 in a rack, so I use bankmanager/editor software to do this.

But IIRC, there´s a COPY button/function you use in EDIT MOde to copy tones between presets/patches.

Must be in the manual.

You would think so, but I have been through the manual, including the advanced section, page by page and I see it nowhere.
