dta3923
I'm in the zone, ready to get a Kronos, I've been looking around for a clean 73 or 88 note at the moment. I noticed 2 different ones for sale on the Internet. One appears to have an exterior that has a significant higher gloss or shine to it than the other--which appears more matted. Would that indicate a newer or older version? I've seen a few of these in the last month. Dan - Kronos 73, Yamaha S90ES, Hammond XK-3, Ventilator. burningbusch
The main body of the Kronos is brushed aluminum which looks matted. It's possible one seller used a polish to clean up the case which gives it a higher shine, or it could be just a photo/lighting thing. If you're buying a used 73/88, make sure that the action/contacts has either been replaced or guaranteed not to have the double-strike issue. Busch. dta3923
Thanks Busch. I think it must be a lighting thing, and thanks for bringing up the double-strike issue. Dan - Kronos 73, Yamaha S90ES, Hammond XK-3, Ventilator.
Synthoid
I think it must be a lighting thing, Having once worked in the field of commercial photography, that would be my guess as well.
