Pretty 80s-tastic, but despite the dated look/feel, it's one of my favorites:

Up tempo, no excessive noodling, and overly-dramatic pauses or brass sections.

Pretty much straight to the letter, including classic four-part harmony, save the "Rocket's red glare" part... All those harmony notes sounded very, very familiar to me from being a Tenor/Bass in concert choir and having to perform that song at our graduation ceremony as a senior.

Related, yet slightly off-topic... We also had to perform the school song, this terrible "Hail, hail to Concord" number that was written by a kid in my mother's graduating class at same school. Well, I rewrote the lyrics to that one *devilish grin* and organized a grand conspiracy for our little group (25 seniors in the concert choir) to sing my "alternate" lyric at the ceremony... Here's what came out (much to the choir director's horror!)

Hail, hail on Concord, dear old Concord High

Stones the size of golfballs falling from the sky

Holes in the rooftops where shattered windows lie

Hail, hail the size of golfballs fall on Concord High...
