O/T IPad for audio recording - demos/sketches

So kids are at school, wife is at work - OMG the iPad is all mine. Thinking I could use this to record the folk singer I work with.

 

Anyone else on here using Auria?

Considering that with at the Focusrite iTrack Solo. No midi but I can't remember the last time I used it - I'm back to hardware and recording the audio.

 

Mobile set-up now:

 

Mic (SM58 or SE2000)

Joe Meek preamp

Native Instruments Kore 1 hardware

into laptop (quiet) via USB

Monitoring via headphones.

 

My folk songstress has to play her guitar when she sings. - that's just the way it is. I add everything afterwards.

 

Mobile set-up could be:

 

mic

Focusrite box

iPad (very quiet) and headphones?

 

Focusrite iTrack Solo - or Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (think I need the camera kit for 2i2).

 

Any iPad recording people on here? What are you using for audio in?
