Jason Stanfield
I've been sneezing all day due to a drop in temperature ... usually I'd tough this out, but I'm playing tonight, and need some over-the-counter decongestant that won't make me fall asleep ... Suggestions? Jason Stanfield

SK
+1 on Zyrtec. It's not exactly a decongestant - it stops allergy symptoms without side effects. CD: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stevekessler
AnotherScott
Decongestants don't make you drowsy. Antihistamines do. Claritin is a non-drowsy antihistamine, if that's what you're looking for. But if you're looking for a decongestant, anything is fine. Well, anything that doesn't also include an antihistamine! Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
MojoGuyPan
AnoScott is on the money, It is the antihistamines that get you drowsy. The decongestants are usually uppers. If Claritin works for you, that is a non drowsy allergy medicine. For me nothing works better than chlorophenaramine but alone it'll make me sleepy so I usually double down on Bronkaid which has ephedrine as a decongestant and guaifenesin as the expectorant. Also I'll do some espresso. The ephedrine and caffeine are stimulants which will battle the downer effects of the chlorophenaramine. This is the best and really keeps you breathing good and super perceptive and alert. Also the Bronkaid works well as an appetite suppressant and a metabolism booster so it is good if you want to cut up but I'd only single dose it for dieting. I wouldn't use it before a heavy leg day or deadlift day because the combo can screw with your heart beat. Peace, D
MonksDream
The breadth of knowledge on this forum boggling sometimes! Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker
