Gary75
Do any of you guys have any answers on this? I'm using a Roland EV-5 which works fine plugged direct into the SV-1. However, I need to control from my Kurzweil SP-76 on gigs. I'm getting nothing. The Kurz is sending out cc11 expression data but nothing. What do you think the problem might be? Polarity? I'm not sure I can change that in the Kurz.
Mike Warren
The EV-5 should be fine with the SP76. It's not a polarity issue. You say the SP76 is sending CC11 data, so that indicates it is working okay, but the SV-1 may not respond to CC11. Volume is CC7. There should be a way to reassign the controller on the SP76. Gary75
Hi Mike, Yes, The EV-5 works fine with the Kurz. I ran the onboard diagnostics and it is indeed transmitting to the Kurz fine. I have it set to send cc11 to the SV-1. The Sv-1 states in the manual that it receives on CC11 for expression. But no joy. Tried both sending cc7 and cc11 from Kurz incase it was screwy, and both just send volume, not expression. Ah got it! When Vox manual wah is used on the SV-1 it needs the breath controller cc2 to control manual wah. Phew!
Mike Warren
I am not at all familiar with the SV-1, but from what you say the issue is definitely with the Korg. Some keyboards simply interpret expression as a volume offset, and this may depend on the patch being used, too. DigitalFakeBook Free chord/lyric display software for windows. Gary75
Sorry Mike, I got it, it needs breath cc2 for manual wah.
