Abnorm
I saw Rik Emmett do a solo show here in Dallas this past weekend, and he was excellent as always. I saw him when he was lead guitarist for Triumph in '86 or '87. He only had 2 guitars with him, a 6-string acoustic and a 12-string acoustic. The guitar playing was immaculate. He played jazz, classical, blues, and rock. He played all the Triumph hits. His singing sounded just as good at age 50 as it did before. He looked just as good as before (I'm 50, and I don't! ). And last but not least, he talked between each song and was hilarious. He had us rolling. It was one of those shows that was organized by fans. You wouldn't even know he was coming to town unless you happened onto his website. No advertising. Difficult to get tickets. The small club was packed with 215 of us. Did I mention that I liked the show? :D

fantasticsound
I had a Midsummer's Daydream that I saw Rik Emmitt play a concert... ;) (Really, I'd love to see him play solo. Definitely not Andy Summers, etc. Guys who only really shined within the band they're famous for.) It's easiest to find me on Facebook. rog951
I wish Rik'd play my area! I guess I'll just have to "Hold On" a little longer! Sorry, but sometimes you just can't stop yourself. None more black.
