all i want you to do is smile

give me a reason with no ryhme

to keep us going strong this time

i dont see you goin anywhere

im not leaving soon either

whadaya say we stick together maybe we'll get better weather

play these things off as jest

lord knows ove done my best

mr. sunshine how did u get there

oh mr sunshine would i be asking if i didnt care

Heat

 

The name of this poem isnt just a name

Its a spark that gave me a flame

And with that flame I light my world

And with this flame you should light yours

Lets burn down bridges

And char the floors

And when its all over and done

We can look back and say that was fun

But we can look ahead

And see where weve been led

Not by me

Not by you

But by what we know is true

And what is true will always last

No matter where weve been in the past

So lets look ahead at the glimmer of hope

And may there not be a problem we cant learn to cope

And may there always be a light to guide us

And may the road be never dangerous

But with this flame I give you yours

And with my heart I give you mine

Because in the end

Yes in the end, it will all be fine.

And now my heart is calm

And my pulse slow

Because Im just watching our fire glow

Closure

I close my eyes just to get away

I close my eyes just so I can open them another day

I close my eyes just to get away from all I do

I close my eyes just to be with you

Because when I dream

You and I are a rippless seam

You and I are a perfect team

When I close my eyes I think of you

I think of how it hurts me so

That when I say

I love you you will never know

And when I open my eyes

In this world of wretched lies

I can look right back into your face

And know that you can understand

Those three words

That hit many like bullets

Because Ill know that when you close yours

You will see me

And thats when your heart soars

But until that time

I will have to stand fast

Because I will wait till you know that we will last

And never give each other to the past

Because I know that our love for each other will always last

Its the way you dont even know

Its the way I let the feelings grow

Its the way I just let it flow

That destroys me in my gut

Its the fact that I will never get another chance

Its the fact we will never get to dance under a full moon in the night

And when we dance we will be out of sight

And then when we dance we took the chance

To let it grow inside ourselves

And didnt leave it on dusty shelves

To let it spoil

Its the way I would be so loyal

And the way we will never stop fighting

And when we stop fighting we will still be there for one another

And its the way I look at you

And its the way you look at me

And its all the feelings I have inside

And its the nights I cried my self to sleep

Because I hoped and dreamed that maybe

You had the exact same dreams to keep

But I wonder what I will do

If I see you with somebody else

And if I know that I can never have you back

My whole world will turn so black

My whole life will be so wasted

And its the thought of never being with you

And its the words that would mean the most to hear from you

And those words you will always hear from me
