WheelHead Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 Actually, I'd wager the stupid soldered batteries are a big reason there aren't 4 cores in a MBP. Still, Apple knows better than us.... Very well may be correct. They have been heralding the length of time the laptop goes on the internal batteries. Perhaps they have not figured a way to continue that amount of time with quad. I thought it was because Snow Leopard (and subsequent versions of Mac OSX) makes more use of the 40+ cores within the NVidia GPU than the ones that sit on the CPU? Anyway, we all know Apple has a dark conspiracy to force us all to buy iPads. Within 5 years, the Macbook Pro will be replaced by an iPad Pro.
