S80 Questions (Again)

Yes, another S80 question :deadhorse:

(I've been waiting to use that one)

So I'm a beginning keyboardist, self taught, and got an S80 from someone for free. The thing is, though, it's missing some keys in the 1st and last octaves. I do like some of the sounds, though, and I was wondering how easy it is to replace the keys? Also, the bottom plate is falling off, and I can't even move it without wrapping it tightly in something so it doesn't fall apart. Should I pay for the repairs, suck it up, or replace it?

Is it possible to just rip the keyboard off of there altogether and just use it as a sound module and get a controller?

Thanks.

Sounds like this is what the previous owner tried to do. :freak:

You can always get in touch with Yamaha for the keys, if the rest of it is literally falling apart, sounds like you need to get your re-assembly skills happening.

Using it as a sound module is not an option. IMO.
