Griffinator
Just curious - sure, it may have come off like spam at first read - but that was a legit job listing - the phone number was a Langley internal contact #, and the e-mail was a legit .mil address.... Hair trigger much? A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.

_Sweet Willie_
Dunno. Never crossed my radar. I might have something in my personal email (which I can't access from the office), though, since that's the account that gets my "moderatorly" messages. Maybe Tom, Bob, or John will chime in later if one of them knocked it off the board. Sounds like it may have been spam, even if a legit job listing. Peace. --s-uu spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! _Sweet Willie_
Maybe Tom or Bob axed it. I rec'd a copy of the post in my inbox. It was spam, but also appeared to be a legitimate gig. Were I first on the scene, I might've locked the thread rather than deleting it. Then folks could've read it, but it would've made it's way down the board and out of sight soon enough. I guess in general we mods have been more accepting of that type of thing when someone is a participating member or becomes a participating member of this online community. It feels weird and inappropriate when it's out of the blue advertising. That post almost might've made more sense in the "classifieds" section, to be honest. Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! _Sweet Willie_
Yeah, yeah, I know... I'm a participating member. OK, nothing to see here. Move along... Peace. --s-uu spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! butcherNburn
Hey it's better than being a member that doesn't participate. I hit the notify button, not sure if I was the only one because it looked like spam, smelled like spam and tasted like a combat boot with a three year commitment that could be extended without your approval. You gotta give them credit for trying, similar ads are in music mags all the time. At least they had the proper instrument listed for this forum. lug
Hey it's better than being a member that doesn't participate. Don't they now make a little blue pill for that? Chad Thorne
Hey it's better than being a member that doesn't participate. Don't they now make a little blue pill for that? No, that's for a member that doesn't operate. Thank you, I'll be here all week.
