thabottomend
Sketchy details at the moment, but McNair was found shot to death about 2 PM local time. An unidentified female was also found dead. I'm as big a football fan as I am music fan. Steve McNair was a warrior. He played with a fractured sternum and bruised heart. During one stretch he was so badly beat up that he couldn't practice for five weeks. He started and won all five of the games in that stretch. Regardless of the circumstances that may yet come to light, Steve McNair was always classy and personable when I would talk to him. He worked with the underpriviledged of his adopted hometown here and made a difference in the community. He will be missed. kenfxj
Just saw that on my NY Giants forum. Damn, that's sad. I always admired McNair's toughness. The guy was a warrior. I would have loved to have him on the Giants. Push the button Frank.
Cthulhu Fhtagn
One of the gutsiest QB's to play in the modern era. He could throw, he could run and the guy would play in traction with an IV stuck in him. Almost a throwback to an earlier era. Nicklab
Definitely one of the tougher QB's in the modern era of the NFL. The way he played made you respect him. The story is really tragic. The latest is that he was murdered by his wife, who then took her own life. thabottomend
Just reported that the deceased female was not his wife. fingertalkin
He played the game for the game and nothing else. Class act all the way. What a shame. How do you sign a computer screen?
...
He was a hell of a football player. I wish it wasn't so easy to figure out the rest of the story. I feel bad for his wife and kids.
