saxofunk
http://www.kennydavis.net/ I found Kenny when Pandora played me Groovements: A Camelot off of Billy Kilson's album Pots & Pans. Kenny has impressive credits - keep an eye out for him. He's smokin'! edit: Pots & Pans review HERE. Mike Sim on sax aint no slouch, either. - Matt W. Phil W
Yes, wonderful player - and very versatile. Off the top of my head he's all over my CD collection with the likes of Steve Coleman (electric abstract odd-meter angular funk jazz), Cassandra Wilson (smoky, laid back jazz singer), Don Byron (jazz clarinettist drawing on klezmer), Will Downing (smooth soul singer), Kevin Eubanks (as in the Tonight Show guy) and the wonderfully named Hasidic New Wave's Jews and the Abstract Truth. http://philwbass.com
