mdrs Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 Anyone know what amps he plays through? I am guessing Fender Rory played mostly thru Vox AC-30's, esp. early on. They are stunningly great amps. The Edge of U2 fame uses them live....old ones, too!!! He's got a pile of them on stage, as they tend to crash and burn often. But, while their are running, they rock. In videos, I've also seen Rory play thru various Fenders, and even a Marshall half stack in one video. Rory had a special gift. No one ever sounded like Rory...melodically, or tone wise.
