Jazzwee
Mostly, as far as comparison to the S700 goes, I just have to work one time to preset the various performances I would use, then it seems like a piece of cake from there. I was able to do a quick sequence with a jazz rhythm and walking bass just by cutting and pasting from an existing performance. Then I overlayed on it. So it's not that hard really. They've done a good job of covering jazz styles on this version, compared to past Motifs. Some of this possibly came from Tyros. I do like the XS piano better than on the S700/S900 so that's a big issue. Maybe the only improvement I'll do on this rig is add a Yamaha KX controller. Although this is more than I initially needed, these features feed one's creativity. This 4 part arpeggio stuff just makes it TOO easy to sound good. I have no buyer's remorse (even after xmlguy's revelation of the backlight on the S700).
