OT: Post pics of your tree

Nothing like young kids at Christmas time. My youngest is 15. So, about as romantic as Christmas gets is a "wish list" from Musician's Friend e mailed to me!!! LOL

I still love the spirit of Christmas. Time to get back in touch with the people and things that make you happy. And, if you play your cards right, you might just be able to make a couple of others happy too........

I HOPE to have our tree up this Sunday. My wife has announced that she wants a LARGE tree this year. So, I'm in for it!!!

Craig.....I wish I could send you a REAL TREE from my farm;

Beautiful trees! Are they the ones with the soft needles or the ones with the needles that get stuck in your carpet and then you are finding them in July?

I love having a real tree, but the building owner here won't allow it. Hopefully, I will be moved out of here before next Christmas.

Hey Fumbly, it does look like we have the same wall colour!

Those trees are Douglas Fir, Craig. They aren't the really hard needle trees (those are Spruce, usually Norwegian or Blue), nor are they the really soft needled ones, the White Pine.

They smell great!!

Thanks, Craig!

That pic is a few years old but we used the Guitarist Chanukiah this year. (Don't sweat the spelling... I've seen Chanukah spelled about 15 different ways translated to phonetic English and I have no idea if any one of them is considered "correct". I use the "Ch" to indicate the gutteral sound of the hebrew letter that doesn't exist in English. ;) )

Hey Neil....my Menorah is proudly displayed in the same room as our Christmas tree. No, we're not confused!!! LOL

Being half Catholic, and half Jewish, I honor both traditions. In fact, I really wanted to name my Christmas Tree Farm "Harry's Hanukkah Bush Farm" (in honor of my Dad, Harold) :laugh: But, I feared that the locals might not appreciate the intended humor!!

Those ceramic menorahs are beautiful!! :love:

Here are some more trees to pick from;

That's what I miss the most about a real tree. Fake trees just smell like plastic and dust. Not very Christmasy.

Try to find one of those scent diffusers, where you can put scented oil in a open bottle, and put little reeds or porous sticks into the oil. They wick the scented oil, diffusing the scent into the air. They have great pine or balsam scented oils. These diffusers make great gifts.

Dr. Popeil's Pocket Diffuser!!!

LOL.

All I need is a bigger barn, so we could set up a major jam session. You only get a tree if you play at least one song!! :rawk:

Yup, get Lee to bring his potable stage, set everything up and it would be one heck of a party!

His stage is safe to drink? :confused:

Or have you been into the Egg Nog?? :D

Nope, not into the egg nog. It's a potable stage. You should see the glass that you need to fit it all in. ;) :grin:

I do, but there are x-mass trees planted on it!! My buddy does land his helicopter here all the time. If you are looking for a landing area, we have an airport about a mile from my house. That same bud lands his Bonanza there.

Is that what you were getting at ?

I've got as far as putting the tree up in the stand.

I bought THE BEST christmas tree stand this year. I wish I'd bought this years ago!! The thing is amazing. Google "bowling's last stand" and the ir web site should come up. They come in different sizes. We typically have a big tree....this year it's a bit smaller than usual, at just about 9 1/2 feet tall. I don't have any relationship with this company. I just KNOW that this stand (I got the 12" diameter on) is great, solid, and could save you from many many Christmas Tree related disasters!!! LOL

Yea, that does say "Got Jorma" on the black sticker on the driver side rear window :) )
