Trucks Posted August 10, 2007 Share Posted August 10, 2007 I have a Laney VC15 all valve/tube amp. I have a Boss ME-50 multi FX unit (this does no amp or cab emulation, only stompbox's). When I use the Laney with guitar and amp only, It is quiet as a mouse. When I use my ME-50 with my computer, or the Line 6 Flextone II, it is quiet as a mouse. When I plug my ME50 either in front of the Laney or in the FX loop. It hiss's quite noticeably, this is even with nothing activated on the ME-50. But if I use my Fat Shatner (homebuilt arbiter fuzz face) or Crybaby there is no hiss. What is going on here? I have tried putting the ME50 on batteries but it still happens. Strategery Posted August 10, 2007 Share Posted August 10, 2007 Yeah, ground problem or either turn down your output volume. Make sure the actual pedal, is all the way up to get a good reading. TRucks, I've got the same pedal and have had it for about 3 years now.I love it cause I love the sounds of my amp. I have not had that problem you're describing but I have had it with other pedals in the past.You're right, it shouldn't be happening. Let us know how it works out. Randy "Just play!"
