Bob Rinker
Hi all - I recently acquired a Leslie 45. It appears to be in pristine condition, both physically and sonically. This is a single speed model, so the choices are fast and off. Does anybody have experience with the aftermarket two-speed mods? It seems the choices are the Hampton MK-1, Carribean Controls, or RTCLogic. I like the idea of the first two, which don't require any solder mods to the Leslie. There is one of the Hampton's on ebay right now, but the seller seems to imply that it is a somehow inferior unit. I don't care about inferior, as long as it works. Any comments? TIA - Bob
eric
My Speakeasy Road Box III has the Carribean control in it and seems to work very well. I think it is worth investigating. Hampton is also a solid, reputable source of aftermarket Leslie gear. I have a Hampton solid state relay in my 122 amp and it was such a huge improvement over the old one.
