dead mike
Serial # 205xxx (six digits, which is 64 but apparently no lp were made between 61-68). Its a custom, doesnt say made in the usa below sn# and has pot codes of 1974 and T bucker pickups. I believe the pups arent original, they dont have a metal covers and the pots seemed to have been soldiered a few times and im wondering if they've been changed. The hardware (whats left) is gold, bride says :gibson pat. no. 2,740,318 on bottom. Maple top, mahogony back, sides, neck, square block mother of pearl inlay, ebony board. The i in Gibson does not have a dot which contradits the serial number (which condradicts the guitar), also has the giant diamond which represents a custom as well as les paul custom written on truss cover. Very, very low frets. fretless wonder? Original color of the guitar might possibly have been natural without paint. Machine heads are gone but you can tell buy the outline they were the klusons. Came in a wooden california girl case? with gibson written an a brass plaque ad 5 latches. The case im now guessing is older than the guitar? This thing is a mystery.
