Hardtail
.... before restringing your guitar. Make sure there's no crud in the slots. I had a buzzing, sitar like sound, on one of my strings, took it to the setup guy and he found some crud in the slot. Problem solved. From now on, I will always check my nuts. King Kamehameha
Yeah, that's pretty funny. Just don't think about it for too long. Like I did. This entire thread sounds like something you'd find people saying in a locker room in sixth grade. Not that that's bad. It's hilarious. Pappy P
Well let's take it up a notch. In 5th grade I would make fun of Buttsville. I that really a town? www.birdblues.com My Stuff On Sound Click
King Kamehameha
Buttsville. Heh. No, it's not a real town. I just don't post my personal info; my parents think everyone online is a creepy stalker so I either say Buttsville or Dinkinghamshireton. For me, 5th grade wasn't too long ago. So butts are pretty much the greatest comedy tool ever invented. Last year, the big joke at camp was: What's better than one butt? TWO BUTTS. King Kamehameha
Oh, my goodness. I laugh at both of those. Especially since there's a place called Crested Butte.... Crusted Butt! AeroG33k
wow, what a thread. I actually just had a problem with my nut when trying on a new pair of strings...well, something just didn't rub the right way... Anyway, I need a new nut pretty soon (wow, in the light of this thread, I can't believe I just said that), but seriously, any suggestions? Bone? Graphite? Pappy P
More painful thoughts. Each guitar has only one nut. Most of the time, the guitar hangers are just too close to the nut. However the Fender Rolling nuts (not comfortable sounding) have at least 12 balls in one nut. How did they do that? www.birdblues.com My Stuff On Sound Click
Xplorer
I once had to have my nuts filed. It was a better option than having one of my nuts replaced. I wasn't too keen on that, because I like mny nuts to match my knobs. What a horrible night to have a curse.
