Eric Iverson
I'd love to have a 7-string! And a 10-string, and a 12-string.... Seriously, there is absolutely nothing wrong with 6-strings, but there are so many OTHER options!
doc taz
Is this the Washburn that comes in gunmetal(ish) gray? In any case, nice grab. sevenstring.org profile my flickr page
thanny XIII
Sparkly red, but it comes in gunmetal. I got it very slightly used for 100 from a kid who didn't like the feel. How do you post pics? alittlebatty
Now that's a thing of beauty.......how's the "getting used to it" phase going? Love the shade of red-both of mine are that gunmetal pewter color...is it light?

thanny XIII
Thank you all. It is lighter than a bass but heavier than a lp. The getting used to is going pretty well batgirl thanks. The whole seven strings thing is a little hard but I'm used to the neck size. the high strings are reworking my callouses. Power chords I've had down but Shredding Is not as easy as it looks. Definately fun but getting as good as i am at bass will be hard. I knew a girl that was into biamping,I sure do miss her.-ButcherNburn
picker
Aaahh, talk to me whe you get a 20 string! Seriously, cool score. Have mucho low-end fun. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
thanny XIII
Low end, phss bass is where I low end. I schreech on guitar. But yeah it is lower than most guitars. I knew a girl that was into biamping,I sure do miss her.-ButcherNburn
thanny XIII
Well I finally am used to it and using it in my black metal solo project. Woot! I knew a girl that was into biamping,I sure do miss her.-ButcherNburn
alittlebatty
hey Thanny-are you using .10's string wise? There are .009's,(which I use) I was reading about your callous' getting reworked. How's the action on it?
thanny XIII
Idk It dtill has the strings that came on it. I lowered the action but it used to be really high. Which kind of stirngs work better for metal? I knew a girl that was into biamping,I sure do miss her.-ButcherNburn
alittlebatty
Well, I go by what string works better for you rather than style.....try a set with the high E string being a .09-I know GHS & D'addario both make sets with that. Ghs Boomers 7L are great! Try eBay for 7 string sets as I have won sets for $2.99 plus shipping (reasonable rate even!)
thanny XIII
Yeah I will I like d'addario an awful lot but since guitar strings are rather cheap I'll tri some different things. I think the guitarist I bought it from had a tendancy twords 10's but he switched strings so much I will never know.
