richwillison
I have a Marshall TSL-122 combo. I'm looking to get a closed back extension cab. I already have a compact Marshall AVT412 cab which links up in size perfectly but the bass sounds horrible, what are peoples opinions on me changing the celestions with REAL ones? Would it sound better or is it just the general compact size of the cab that makes the bass sound horrible?
The Geoff
What's not real about the Celestions in it? And, yes, the volume of cab and closed/open back do make a difference. Small is not so good. Guitarzan
i would suspect the avt cab uses budget celestions. try a set of vintage 30 celestions. they can handle it. my dg100 is capable of hurtful bass response, which i suspect is the v30 celestions. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
LPCustom
I agree with Zan that Vintage 30s would sound great in that cab. You could also try it with two V30s and two GreenBacks to blend the sound of the two. Born on the Bayou
