  1. I had my Nephew do a firmware update on my Numa x 88 key piano, Thought it would take the ringing out of some of the keys but the ringing is still there , is there any way to get that high pitched tinny sound out that some keys in the upper register have?
  2. I"ll keep looking, I know the ones I put hearts on are in the piano section button but there are tons of sounds in the piano section and it's impossible to get to them quickly that way.
  3. To anybody who knows how to store the patches , I see you just hold down the sound you are playing and got to the next sound , so if I may be so questioning where are you storing your sounds that you like and how do you get to them quickly? the wheel kinda gets me confused , I press the heart button for the ones I like but they are still where they are because I do not know how to move them.
  4. I have two KC 220 amps that I use at home for practicing different piano's. The reason is I have about 10 keyboards , I also have a pair of Roland cube speakers and two EV ZXA1 speakers , which are the speakers I use if I am playing in a band which is not that often. I had tried using one of my KC 220 speakers as a monitor when I was sitting in with a rock band . I have those shorty stands that come up to about ear level , but the band was pretty loud so I had to Run a ZXA1 EV out the back of the kc220 which worked. what's nice about the KC 220 is they are light and they sound pretty decent using certain piano's . I have an RD 2000 and Iplay the RD 1000 piano sound through the Roland and it sounds pretty good. The sound is pretty clean , and bright but when I plug the EV zxa1 its like getting a bass speaker added on and really fills out the sound. I have played out a few times with the KC 220 but I always use an EV with it to be on the safe side . If your band is not loud it might work as a monitor.
  5. I just got the Astro Lab a few days ago I was wondering if any one here knows the Quickest way to Layer two instruments on the fly , I was able to layer the sounds but it took a minute , I wished they would have set it up like the RD 2000 where you have 4 sounds at your finger tips where you could just raise the volume on one of the 4 sliders. That being said there are a couple of things I like and somethings I do not like. The action feels like a light weight piano and is very easy to play, there are plenty of sounds to choose from especially pianos where some sound pretty crappy and some sound pretty nice and if its to bright or too much reverb its easy to tweak it to make it sound good. Another thing I am having trouble is finding the favorites after I punch the favorite button in, do the favorites disappear when you turn off the piano? I wish it would have come with 73 keys, it's a pain having to change chords on the left had because you run out of space, but it seems like the ideal piano to take some where with your amp or powered speakers and just start playing cause of it's light weight and actually pretty nice to play and go through jazz songs with without getting fatigued, Since I'm not a geek its going to take me some time to learn the ins and outs of this keyboard. I did try some of the synth sounds and was impressed on how easy it was to make up your own songs on the fly using them, so if anyone can help me out with quick layering storing the favorites I'd appreciate it. Nice Keyboard .
  6. I'll be 70 in October, I gigged with a Guitar Player slash singer last year using the Numa x 88 key piano which weigh about 32 pounds and a Hammond XKc-1 organ that weighs about 16 pounds it worked out great and sounded good for the style of music we played , Seventies Rock, Blues and Country Rock, it beats hauling the old gear back in the seventies and eighties.
  7. I'll be 70 in October and last summer I gigged with the Numa X 88 and the Hammond Xk-1c they are both light and sound good together, at the time I was playing with a Guitar Player slash singer and I filled everything in and it sounded pretty good. I think the Numa 88 is 32 pounds and the Hammond about 16 ponds, did not have that lightweight gear in the old days.
  8. On the first comparison of the Key Scape Piano sound and the Kawai piano sound, I liked the Kawai better, it had a vibration in it like a real piano and the KeyScape did not.
  9. Someone was telling me about in ear monitors , you run the cord up the back of your shirt and yo can monitor the whole band through the mixer, so you would just run your keyboard through the mixer and not have to worry about an amp monitor.
  10. I have the Numa x 88 , I have played it out in bands and it is a great keyboard for live performance, mine has the cheaper action but its still pretty easy to play plus its light, you can also tweak the piano's to sound good like the sound Justin is getting out of his piano. For 1500 dollars its low priced mid range piano sound that has alot of advantages , its like the RD 2000 in the way you can control multiple instrument sounds at the same time , for being in a band it's a no brainer instrument, I top mine off with a light weight Hammond XK-1c and I can cover a whole lot of songs with them.
  11. The wurlies I had had great actions when they were new but if you did not keep them in a place were the temperature remained the same the action would start acting up , dampness and humidity would take their toll on the wurlies but when they were working properly they were a breeze to play.
  12. I think if the price is right there will be large market, Wurlitzers will be lighter than the Rhodes and the action on both the Rhodes and the wurlies is so much better than the the actions on other electric pianos besides great sounds, I do not know how they plan on making the new wurlies, they might ad some extra sounds and make them lighter and give them a great action, its 2024 anything is possible , they have newer materials they might use to bring the price down, as long as it plays great , sounds great and is reasonably price it will be a great seller.
  13. I think Wurlitzer can make a cheaper electric piano if they mass produce it like they used to. I do not think these companies charging 10 thousand or more for an electric piano will be able to find a rich enough clientele to keep them in business especially how expensive everything has gotten in the past few years. There are a lot more middle class people in the world than there are people that are financially well off and I bet there are a lot more middle class people into electric pianos the well off people.
  14. It was way back in the seventies , and I remember my Ampeg amp had two 12 in speakers , I did play one of the Rod Stewart songs on it , Stay with me I think the songs name was , Red lips hair and fingernails I heard she's a mean old jezebel , something like that.
