  1. Did you think about going with iOS? A few good church organs on there. If you already own an iPad, an app and a decent controller will be well under your budget.
  2. Just to give you a comparison with the YouTube videos, there was a sales rep demo-ing one in a shop I was in, I stood and listened for 10 minutes, the ap was VERY impressive. Didn't hear any other sounds, as my better half needed a coffee!
  3. Exactly. $1K - $2K auction estimate is entirely reasonable. You think so? I would have thought they would have been worth that much if they had have been owned by Joe Blow. Mind you, I suppose that once people start bidding.....
  4. I fully support paying for music. On the other side of the coin, iTunes managed to lose every track and playlist I had bought or ripped from cd's (which I also paid for), nearly 8,000 songs altogether. I was going to work out how much this has cost me, but I would only end up in tears.
  5. I knew you'd answer if I waited long enough Mitch!
  6. Maybe so, but it's still over 1000 euros cheaper than the equivalent Hammond XK5 package.
  7. I imagined that Mitch Towne might have chimed in with his view of the update by now. Waiting (im)patiently for his thoughts.
  8. On the original Mojo, the recommendation for the expression pedal was their own branded Crumar long throw, with a potentiometer rating of 10K. The FC7 has a pot rating of 50 K. Assuming that the Mojo 61 and the DMC are the same as the original, it makes sense to me to use the pedal that the manufacturer says that you should use. Just a thought.
  9. I'm desperately hoping for a 73 key single manual Mojo, with two sets of drawbars, bi-timbrality, an effects loop, and 11 pin Leslie out. I would be all over that.
  10. I apologise. I did not know that! SSM
  11. I thought that was what I said lol SSM
  12. AFAIK - and I stand to be corrected here - with the original Mojo, you get B3, Farfisa, Vox, Rhodes and Wurli type voices. The 61 model adds acoustic piano, DX ep, clav and pipe organ. SSM
  13. I would buy this in an instant if it had two sets of drawbars, an 11 pin Leslie socket and an effects loop. And I don't think that I'm the only one, there are a LOT of posts saying " The only thing stopping me getting a Mojo 61 is that you can't play two sounds on it....." SSM
  14. It's amazing how often non-engineers say something like that. ;-) You don't know that I'm not an engineer! Actually, you're right, I'm not. I knew, because no engineer would say that. ;-) Oh. OK. It seemed fairly simple to a lay person. As a non-engineer, my new thought is that they should have used a bit of foresight, and built the 61 with two dsp's, and a second set of drawbars. And an 11 pin Leslie socket, and an effects loop. Here's a bit for you (with your engineer's hat on) to take exception to: I'm sure that wouldn't have cost much extra if they had done it at the design stage. BTW, that's something else we non-engineers say! SSM
  15. Thanks Moe, that makes a lot of sense. I will stop hoping for bi-timbrality for this keyboard, and look at alternatives. SSM
  16. It's amazing how often non-engineers say something like that. ;-) You don't know that I'm not an engineer! Actually, you're right, I'm not. Now that the dsp situation has been explained, I get it. Shame though.
  17. Couldn't make my mind up between the Lounsberry Organ Grinder and the Tall & Fat. Eventually ordered the T&F. A week later, ordered the OG too! Unfortunately, the delivery system seems between the US and the UK appears to be one old guy on a bicycle. Over two weeks, and no sign of anything arriving yet. I USED to think that I was a fairly patient sort of person. Evidently, I'm not. SSM
  18. No. I can't understand why it isn't. I'm not sure that I could keep my wallet in my pocket if it was. Surely it's not that difficult of an upgrade to implement? Or am I missing something? SSM
  19. We seem to have a conflict of philosophies here. While I can respect Guido's views, surely it makes sense to give the customers what they want. It can't be that difficult to make a clav sound on a few extra low notes. And if makes people happy, why not? SSM
  20. Can you give us more detail about when you added a sub Alan? Position, hook-up, sound etc. I thought I had a handle on this speaker, but since hearing that the "sub out" is actually "full sound spectrum out", I'm wondering if perhaps an EV or a DXR 10 might be a better match. Many thanks, SSM
