helped me, Tim, and I'm currently still married to the same woman for 23.5 years. After reading this thread, I see that is no guarantee of the future. I wish the best for you. But I learned the hard way that there are no guarantees. I would have bet my year's salary against your six pack of beer that my wife would never leave me.

Separated for over 3 years... gets boring and lonely at times, but I don't miss the nonsense. How does that work? Are you legally separated? It occurs to me that I would be best off financially if my wife and I kept on just being separated for about 3 years. That way, I don't have to pay a court mandated spousal support, etc. The way it stands, I would have to pay spousal support, including health insurance, etc for her. She would get more 60-70% of my income if we made it legal (I think). Then when she turns 65, we can make it legal. I can't believe that I'm talking about this. The money that we had saved up for a trip to Europe this year is now going for her living expenses.

I can't believe that I am going through this. 34 years married. About six months ago, I noticed my wife was really distant. Asked her what was going on? Ten minutes of silence later, she said that she wanted to move out. Refuses to get counseling. She just wants out. There seems to be nothing that I can do. So, she moved out (at my expense, since she has no income) and I am stuck. Right now, I am ruined emotionally. In a few months, I will probably be ruined financially. Can't believe it. I thought that my marriage was the best thing in my life.

Thanks Lindaru. "PNG Blues" (Persona Non Grata) The opening is a ripoff of the cliche that they use in lots of old movie chase scenes. Lots of unresolved suspended chords. By the way, this recording was done with my Zoom handheld recorder. Very happy with it. "Indian Chill" was done entirely on my Motif.

Hi, I had a burst of inspiration last week, so I uploaded a few things to my Soundcloud account: Ash Tabula Rasa 1) PNG Blues - Recorded on my Yamaha UX-3 acoustic piano. Hybrid between modern jazz and straight blues. 2) Indian Chill- was done entirely on my Yamaha Motif XF-6, recorded in Sonar. Other than the motif drum loop, it is all me playing. This was is also a hybrid- Indian and Western instruments, with a chillout groove. Hope you like them. But even if you don't, I would appreciate some comments. Thanks,

My name is Michael Brown. I go by piano39 on this and other forums. I'm, 54 years old, married, two kids. I am a VP at a manufacturer in Ohio. I started playing organ at age 11. Was only half interested until I heard ELP. Built a PAIA 2720 synthesizer in high school (still have it). Was in a prog rock band in college that played most of the "Yes Album" , some ELP, Genesis etc using a Hammond M3/Leslie and the PAIA. Played in a variety of bands since then. Currently play in a local bar band called Bar Trek (www.bartrek.net) I really enjoy my studio. Run Sonar with a bunch of soft synths.
