  5. [Editor's Note: I'm leaving this up to give an idea of the kind of scams that people run. I'm not blaming the OP, but want to remind everyone that if something looks too good to be true, it probably is - Craig] Nord Stage 3 Compact 73-key Organ w/gig bag GB73,keyboard/ Synth in box - $2,000 (Lansing) © craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap condition: like new delivery available make / manufacturer: Nord model name / number: Stage 3 semi weighted waterfall do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers post id: 7439057205 posted: about 9 hours ago ♥ best of [?]
  6. As a 71 year old, I've learned getting old is not for the faint of heart. But, it beats the alternative as far as I know. Good to be seen, better than being viewed.
  7. The Webb should provide an utterly amazing look back in time. Are we really a lonely planet?
  8. I got the 61 key version. National retailer, deal negotiated with my Sales Engineer, not an advertised Black Friday deal. Really liking the Pro so far.
  9. Hammond SK Pro, EXP50 Expression pedal, and Gator case. Really good deal from my favorite retailer,
  10. New Riders of the Purple Sage, Waylon Jennings, and the Grateful Dead, Kezar Stadium, Golden Gate Park, early 1974 (yup, old fart here). Musically, not the best I've attended, but certainly the most memorable. Waylon had Ralph Mooney on pedal steel, best part of the show, an amazing player. They also used the "wall of sound" PA system - I think my ears rang for 2-3 days.
  11. Long time lurking newbie here. I have a pair of Roland CM30 monitor amps that I've used for years as stereo keyboard amps at home and on small gigs with no problems. Also use one of them for a stage monitor with line out to FOH when needed. Very versatile, good sounding, super compact, and ultra reliable.
  12. I have an aging set of Bang & Olufsen RL140 speakers. With a small sub they still sound very good to me.
  13. I'm an ok player who's been doing it for many years. (Never quit my day job, though). My responses to the few "keyboard player wanted" ads I've answered over the years always include "pro gear and attitude". I have excellent equipment, and I show up on time and prepared. Whether my playing is "pro" or not will be judged by others.
  14. I've had the SS a couple months now. Mainly use with SK1 and a Korg arranger - amp angled back sideways in a stand. Thank you Keyboard Corner!
  15. What do you call a drummer with half a brain? Gifted!
  16. Interesting stories. In the 70's I had a Farfisa Compact Duo running through a Leslie combo preamp into a 145. While the Leslie looked cool and did wonders for the Farfisa, it sure didn't sound anything like a real Hammond to me. The transistor organs were a big part of the Doors early sound, but basically it was all about Jim Morrison. (I loved the Doors, but much of their early stuff sounds pretty self-indulgent now.) I don't think using a B-3 would have made helped, and may have even changed things in a bad way. I'm actually more interested in how rather than what RM played.
  17. Oops, just noticed this intro thread. An old fart at 59, I've always been a day-jobber who played music on the side. I stay in Lansing, MI during the week for work, but actually live about 80 miles north of there. After a 22 month tour in SE Asia courtesy of Uncle Sam, I hung out in CA (Monterey and SF) from 1971 to 1973 before returning to MI in 1974. Played keys in cover bands for about 25 years after that. I'm on the board of a traditional music cooperative (www.wheatlandmusic.org) , and generally keep pretty busy. Twin grandsons four months old are helping out with that part. Not much fancy gear, Yamaha P120, EMU B3, Yamaha PSR 2000, Barbetta amp, two Cajun accordions handmade in Louisiana, and the usual miscellaneous. I play Cajun/Zydeco accordion, and pretty much anything but jazz and classical on keys. I've had a great gig the last few years at a weeklong music camp in NY, teaching accordion and playing keys. I love this forum, and hope to be a positive contributor. Best to all, Roger Little
