  1. Yeah...I thought of that, too, but not knowing what the "width" knob does, I was leaning more towards the HF driver being blown because the "High" control does nothing and the "Mid" control didn't do much. If the "width" control brings the woofer in and out, or has anything to do with it, the "tiny and tinny" sound could be the HF driver putting out what little it can after having been compromised. Either way, yes...something ain't right!
  2. I know absolutely nothing about this amp, but it sounds to me like you might have a blown high-frequency driver. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will have a better idea.
  3. Steve, I bought a matched pair of Winged C 6550s a couple of years ago when you could still get them based on your recommendation (and I love them). Do you have a preferred 12AU7, or do I understand correctly that you don't care that much about it? Just trying to be cool like you.
  4. Geez....great setup Ross, I would give my left arm to have a live setup like that. One day Ill use my B3 live but it was such a hassle getting it into my basement, I cant imagine it will ever happen. And a suitcase Rhodes....nice Thanks! In some ways, I think it's a little overkill, but at the same time, I think, "Eh...why not!".
  5. I play primarily at church, so I keep most of my gear there. Here's my current Sunday morning rig: http://i1341.photobucket.com/albums/o748/rossward10/IMG_2807_zpsaretaxu8.jpg Not sure where I will keep it all if I ever have to leave!
  6. Hey all My name is Ross, and I'm 23. While my main instrument for 10 or so years has been guitar, in the past 2 years I've found myself being attracted more and more to the keys and the possibilities they hold - so much so that I consider it my main instrument now! I'm the music arranger for a church. I own a Nord Electro 2 73 and a Yamaha S03 that I got for free (you can't beat free!). Don't use the Yamaha for gigs though, only as a MIDI input device for my scoring workstation. I'm currently shopping for a stage piano of some kind, but I also have access to some pretty cool gear at my workplace ('57 B-3 w/ Leslie, 6' Baldwin grand and Yamaha CP-300). I look forward to having conversations with many of you and continuing to learn about keyboard-related things. So far, my experience lurking has been very informative!
