  1. Thanks, Ken! No star trails, though.....too cloudy and I can't hand-hold that long.

  8. There are lots worse places to get sand implanted while in the service of a photograph.
  9. And BTW, Steve, that's a cool photo....the lack of scale could make it the edge of the beach or an aerial view of some bluffs....well done!
  10. You did. But it bears repeating. It's a good tag line, too.
  11. Gorgeous photo, Ken.....and much safer distance. Armegeddon in your viewfinder.
  12. Gorgeous landscapes, Anne. All that yellow is amazing....and possibly part of the problem. You seemed to have shot on an overcast day. That will flatten and diffuse light so there will be few shadows to accentuate the contours of the land. I know the sun doesn't shine much in the UK, but try a sunnier day and shoot with the sun to your left or right to introduce some shadows. A little more exposure will help as well....the bright yellow can throw off your exposure.
  13. Some images from the Missouri Botanical Garden this morning: Tropical water lily by Bill Wilcox, on Flickr Hybrid lily by Bill Wilcox, on Flickr Sunflowers by Bill Wilcox, on Flickr
  14. Kewl! Well done, Ken, and heartily deserved.
  15. Wow....that's amazing, Ken! Not to mention a little hazardous. Right out of a good sci-fi movie.
  16. Beautiful fire close-ups, Bretty! You got my vote, Ken! 190 so far....in the lead!

  21. Gorgeous photo, Mike! The exhibits were designed and built in China and then disassembled for shipping and re-assembly in St. Louis. This article explains further.
