  1. There was a "no guitars" track with the clav nice and loud on YouTube but now that I am subbing sometimes in an Eagles tribute band, it's gone - can't find it anymore.
  2. It does sound like a Motif to me too so I'm gonna guess the Montage VST even though I haven't heard it yet.
  3. They used a Yes song for the opening scene of Fargo Season 5 I think
  4. The synth "sound" that would wake me up would be the Stanford University ASP mainframe computer playing the Deep Note patch (THX logo).
  5. I have a CP73. The keyboard is the BHS action - balanced hammer standard. To me, it sort of feels like a Montage 8 or XS90 or Motif 88 without the aftertouch (I also have an XS90). I don't own a CK88 but it has a GHS action - graded hammer standard, which is used in the MOX8, MOXF8, and MODX8 keyboards. I tried a CK88 out at the store and it felt ok but a few years ago I had a MOX8 backlined to me on a tour for a month. I got used to it but I didn't like it - it felt a little mushy. Maybe they've improved the GHS action over the years but I prefer the action of the CP73.
  6. 2018-2020 pre-pandemic, an artist I was playing with had 2-3 hit songs using an electric piano though a Leslie. The backline I requested was some kind of Motif and I had patches for that saved on a USB. I had trouble programming a decent EP w/ Leslie effect on the Yamaha so I bought a Lester K and put it in line - worked great! Still have the Lester K. I think it sounds good, maybe not as good as a Ventilator. Thought about using it with the CP73 I have now since IMO the Leslie is...well...
  7. There was a website (gone now) with transcriptions that contributors had written themselves and could upload. Good stuff - I miss it. freejazzinstitute.org
  8. Keytargar? In all seriousness, how do you play the keyboard without muting the strings on the guitar with your forearm?
  9. Was thinking of buying a used Hydrasynth or Rev2 - there are a few on craigslist in my area, but I don't REALLY need them. Might just buy a melodica instead. Or nothin'.
  10. They have a CP80 sample already. How about another organ sample and an improved Leslie effect? Nothing to compete with the YC, just something a little better.
