Anderton
Fortunately, it was a limited flood event...not limited for the people who's live were destroyed, but from a geographical standpoint. The best story to come out that is two good ol' boys with Jetskis who rescued 15 people, and probably saved 15 lives. People can say what they want about Tennessee, but it's called "the volunteer state" for a reason. When the chips are down, people will help...they won't ask about your politics or religion first. ChiefDanG
I"m not near the flooded area, but my heart goes out to the people of Waverly/Humphrey county. Twenty lives lost - horrible. When I lived in Murfreesboro, I got to see the 'Volunteer State' in action up close. A tornado ripped through my neighborhood (Barfield) in January"97. The outpouring of support - financial/emotional/moral - was a thing to behold. Tanks for asking, Kuru. Quote Professional musician = great source of poverty. KuruPrionz
Thanks Craig and Dan for keeping me informed. Helicopter in high winds and flooding, Bubbas on jet skis - all of that sounds wonderful and terrifying. I am glad it was less terrible than it could have been. We have had our disasters here and the potential for worse is always close at hand. There is no safe place in our world, Nature bats last. All my best to you and yours!
