LX88
I guess this is what time it really is... He gave the Beatles a run for their money in the early years of Mersey magic. Ferry Cross the Mersey....as heartfelt as anything John or Paul gave us Don't Let the Sun catch you crying..... . .

drawback
Oh man. Ferry Cross The Mersey sets up my piano repertoire of all things '60s. There isn't another song from that period that opens those memories so well. I remember in 2001 my brother and I flew over to England for a couple of weeks, staying with friends in Greenwich. For a weekend, we took the train to Liverpool â the center of the universe to two Canadian kids who cut their teeth on the British Invasion. We made our way down to the ferry terminal, and watched one come to port with Ferry Cross The Mersey playing on the sound system. Walking up to the (new) Cavern Club, we hoisted a pint and stood on the fabled stage. A few years later my trio was asked by a customer if we could play any Gerry. Turns out he was from Liverpool, Marsden lived up the street and was a friend of his mom. Nice guy, everyone knows him, he says. Sorry for the ramble, but these things come flooding back. RIP Gerry Marsden and thank you for the memories. Quote ____________________________________ Rod Here for the gear.
