Groove On
Normally, when I hear that somebody"s musical instrument is the computer, it really irritates the crap out of me. But these Arduino music projects are so effing punk/rock n" roll (in the cool sense of those words), that I have to let it slide in these cases. Rock on! â- vote on which one is your favorite. David Emm
This reminds me of an old "Cul de Sac" cartoon strip. The little brother is practicing the clarinet (HRONK HREEP!). The little sister comes in and says "What's that?" He replies "Its a clarinet, the most beautiful instrument in the world!" She replies "I'll say! Its like a clogged nostril you can play a tune on!" In that spirit, there's no clear winner here, because the results are William-Gibson-level disturbing. Its both a gift and a slight mental condition to be able to build such things, but I enjoyed it all. Books are the Internet made of paper. These devices are a good synth programming SESSION turned into hardware. Quote "I like that rapper with the bullet in his nose!" "Yeah, Bulletnose! SamuelBLupowitz
A friend of mine who passed away last year was really into Arduino. He was working on a project he called 'the Glove' that let him control lighting cues from the stage while playing guitar. He would have loved these (especially the guitar with a modulation axis). Gonna pour one out for him today. Quote Samuel B. Lupowitz Musician. Songwriter. Food Enthusiast. Bad Pun Aficionado.
