Mike Rivers Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 Downloaded the latest free version of PreSonus Studio One - Studio One Prime Studio One Prime has always been their free, introductory version, though there's no reason not to use it if it meets your needs. A while back I was looking for a copy of the current Studio One when I was working on an article (still am) about setting up independent cue mixes. I know how to do it in Pro Tools and Reaper (same principle, quite different nomenclature) and wanted to check out Studio One. I couldn't do what I wanted to demonstrate because only supports a hardware interface with a maximum of 2 inputs and 2 outputs, so no outputs for a second mix. The older free version I have supports plenty of inputs and outputs, but I didn't want to count on the user interface to be the same in the current version.
