A Short Notice Announcement For All You Clav Lovers

Recommended Posts

I just found out that Philly area radio station WXPN's Funky Friday show will be showcasing an full hour of songs featuring our favorite Hohner instrument from 6-7 PM EDT tonight. You can access it by going to www.wxpn.org then click the Listen banner at the top of the page and then the leftmost option on the ensuing page. Unfortunately my job tonight is a 6 o'clock hit but let me know how it was.

so I happened to read this post at the beginning of a break at work this evening. Couldn't listen for an hour, but I just rolled Audacity and then checked back when I could. 11 songs in total, no surprise opening and closing with Stevie.

Maybe Your Baby - Stevie

Outa Space - Billy

Thelonius - Jeff Beck Group

Chameleon - Herbie

Night People - Robert Palmer (I believe Bill Payne played the clavinet on this track, but can't verify that)

Spanish Moon - Little Feat (can verify that Bill Payne played this track) :)

Use Me- Bill Withers

Tell Me Something Good - Rufus

Concrete Jungle -Bob Marley and The Wailers

Fascination - David Bowie

Superstition -Stevie

Love that the Bowie track was included with all of the obvious ones. :2thu:
